Jupiter race drops image of Che Guevara for end-of-year event parody

The race is supposed to be a sideways look at car racing. The cars admitted into the event are built to look like freaky parade floats "where Halloween meets gasoline," according to the website. And the events across the country use local themes to poke fun at themselves: The Southern Discomfort in Charlotte; the Goin' For Broken in San Francisco; the Capitol Offense in Washington D.C.

Five in prison, two at large in Laytonville home invasion

The last of five home invasion robbers apprehended by police are now serving time in state prison and two men still remain at large for the January 2008 armed robbery of a Laytonville home. Johan Espinoza, 26, of Long Beach who received the shortest sentence, 4 years in prison, was the last to be sentenced.
